Love, Joy, Peace...
The third part of the process is Birthing Life Groups, which helps us expand our capacity to send disciples even more. Parts two, three, and four are all lifelong learning opportunities for people to continue moving forward as local missionaries as God has gifted them.
Birthing Life Groups (Acts 2:42-47)
1. Birth a Life Group (being coached)
2. Christian Mission Coach Training (9-month process)
3. Coach Servant Leaders
4. Mentored in Christ-Centered Community Development
Birth a Life Group (being coached)
Life Groups are birthed as new leaders are raised up and sent to lead a new Life Group. This happens through the mutual mission work of Life Group Participants, Life Group Leaders, Christian Mission Coaches, and LACF Mission Staff. We’re also working on developing more coaches so that leaders don’t go alone. Instead, every team of leaders has a coach to work with them to set goals as well as take action to reach their goals. That positions us to engage more and more people to share the love of Christ.
Christian Mission Coach Training (9-month process)
Christian Mission Coach Training is a nine-month process that trains people in Christ-centered coaching. Participants learn and practice skills like listening and asking open-ended questions that will sharpen them to invest in the lives of other people. Their training both expands our LACF mission resources and is vital for creating a culture of engagement in God’s kingdom work in and through people’s daily lives. Christian coaches come alongside people to help them discover God’s direction for their lives and their mission work.
Coach Servant Leaders
The training provided through the process of Making Disciples, Multiplying Servant Leaders, and Birthing Life Groups develops leaders who are spending time in the Word, prayer, relational community, and servant leadership. They will now be able to take part in identifying and developing the next generation of leaders through Christ-centered coaching.
Mentored in Christ-Centered Community Development
God has given His people distinct gifts and unique experiences. Working with a Christian mentor is part of a well-rounded process of putting ideas into action. In this case, the mentor pours in as the person works in a hands-on way to develop a Christ-centered Life Group, team, initiative, etc.
